The goal of Formation is to prepare members to be committed Christians, convinced religious and zealous missionaries. It has to be directed towards integral growth of the person. At present Sr.Nirmala is the formation coordinator.
Last year we sent out our young sisters for vocation promotion to different States of India as a result we have 24 Candidates. We give importance to the study of English and Hindi language during the time of Aspirancy and postulancy.
Objectives of the Novitiate is to help the novice to get in touch with her deeper self and to become integrated person, to attain experiential knowledge of Christ and to experience the congregational manner of life. Exposure programme is regular feature in the second year of the novitiate.
Junior Sisters have annual juniorate course in summer. The syllabus is followed. For development and integration of human personality courses are organized on different topics. For the Tertians there is an intensive theology course for five months, followed by tertianship. The objective of this period is a deepening and appreciation of the consecrated life leading to a total life long surrender to Christ and His mission in the Congregation.
On-Going Formation
The Province organizes many courses , retreats and seminars to avail the opportunity for on-going formation. Many join the Kutir experience in Ashrams. The entire Province had the opportunity of attending the Animation seminar on the General Chapter /2006 in four groups.
Leadership courses, animators meetings, seminars and meetings on different ministries are held on province level. Sisters are encouraged to attend annual retreats. This year the sisters attended the retreat preached by Sr.David D'leany on the theme of General Chapter "Passion for Christ and Passion for Humanity."
Faith Formation
We give great importance to the ministry of faith formation and proclamation. The main objective of this ministry is to build up Christian communities , leaders and to reach out to others by proclamation of the compassionate love of God.
These activities are fulfilled by regular visits not only to Christian families but other denominations, people of other faith and Christ - Bhaktas.
We have found new ways of Evangelization through dance and fine arts and sisters are being trained for the same. At present we are trying to intensify this ministry through multi-media.
