Animations were organized for all the sisters of the Province in two batches in Mangalore Province in Preparation for the 11th Ordinary General Chapter .

The Superior's Meeting was held at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor, on February 12, 2024.

We deeply mourn the sad demise of Sr Leonilla D’Souza SRA on January 31, 2024, and pray that her soul rest in peace.

On December 12, 2023, the Foundation Stone for the Geriatric Care Unit at Kuppepadav was laid by Sr Nanditha Pereira, Superior General. 

Sr Nanditha Pereira SRA, Superior General visited Mangalore Province from December 11 -13, 2023.

SRA Sisters of the Mangalore Province witnessed a week of spiritual joy and celebration as sisters made their promise to live a life of commitment in service to God.

Sr M. Leena Valookaran SRA, Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province visited the communities in Mangalore Province from September 13, 2023 to November 7, 2023. 

The Junior Sisters of Missionary Sisters of the Queen of the Apostles of the Mangalore Province renewed their Vows on December 3, 2023. 

On December 1, 2023 Sr M. Melania D’Souza SRA received an Award from District HIV Control Board, Government of Karnataka.

In a collaborative effort to enhance access to quality medical care for women and children in rural areas, SRA Sisters, Mangalore Province, and Fr Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady, have joined to establish a Maternal & Child Health Clinic at Maria Giri Health Centre in Kuppepadav. 

The ongoing Formation programme seminar was organized for the sisters of the age group of 30 to 44 years in Mangalore Province from October 13 – 14, 2023.  

Annual Retreat for the sisters Mangalore Province from October 15 – 21, 2023 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor. 

From September 23 -24, 2023, as a part of the Ongoing Formation Programme, a seminar on Psycho–Spiritual Integration was organized for the sisters of Mangalore Province. 

On August 19 – 20, 2023 a “Seminar on Organizational Development and Management Process – A Legal and Corporate Prospective” was organized in Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor for all the Superiors and Heads of the Institutions. 

From August 21 – 22, 2023 Meeting of the Superiors of Mangalore Province was held in Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  

On 22.05.2023 we had the Joy of rejoicing the 50th golden years of Religious life of Sr. Joyce James and Sr. Hildegard Fernandes. We thank God for the precious vocation of our dear Sisters and their dedication, commitment and faithfulness towards the Congregation during these years of their journey with our Beloved Lord.

The Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Queen of the Apostles widely known as SRA – Congregatio Missionalis Sororum Reginae Apostolorum celebrated the milestone of Journeying 100 years in serving the LORD and HUMANITY on April 26th, 2023 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Vamanjoor.

Charism retreat was held in three Batches, in spiritual preparation for the Centenary Celebration of our Congregation. The retreat was guided by Sr Annie Fernandes (Coordinator), Sr Leena V J, Sr Alishai Manaji, Sr Lenita D’Souza, Sr Joyce James, and Sr Rency D’Silva. 

In view of Centenary Celebration two days Seminar was held at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  Rev Fr Jossie D'Mello SJ was the resource person.  

Seminar on Vocation Promotion was held on 6th February 2023. Rev Fr Anil D’Mello SJ, Director of Fatima Retreat House, Mangaluru, the Resource Person inspired the Sisters.

The Handing over and Installation of New Provincial Councillor was held on 6th January 2023 in the presence of V.Rev.Sr. M. Nanditha Pereira, the Superior General, Superiors of the Communities, Sisters and Novices.  Rev Sr M Juliet Lobo, the Provincial Superior handed over her responsibilities to Rev Sr M Leena V.J. and newly appointed Councillors are Sr M Annie Fernandes, Sr M Snehal Tuscano, Sr M Zarina Lobo and Sr Joel Lasrado.

On 4th January 2023 after the Eucharistic celebration at 6.30 am V. Rev. Fr. James D’Souza, the Parish Priest, St Joseph the Worker Church and Vicar Forane of City Vicariate blessed the entire renovated Convent “Queen of the Apostles” through a prayer service and by sprinkling of the Holy Water.  

Dharma Jyothi Convent, Madangeri New Block was blessed by Rev Fr Anthony Rodrigues, Parish Priest, Christ the Light of the World Church, Madangeri through a prayer service.  

8th December 2022 was a grace filled occasion as we thanked the Lord for  the Golden Jubilarians Sr Bertha Cornelio and Sr Prabhala Lobo and the Silver Jubilarians Sr Archana Lopis, Sr Kavitha Noronha, Sr Prabha Sebastian, Sr Rajani Varghese, Sr Sangeetha D Souza. 

7th December 2022 was a joyous occasion as Novice Sarvina Maskaren and Novice Sharoline Pereira made their first commitment to the Lord at Queen of the Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor. The Holy Eucharist and the rite of profession were officiated by Rev. Fr. Rajesh Rosario. We thank the Lord for continuing to choose people to work in his vineyard.

On 4th December 2022, 19 of our Junior Sisters renewed their Vows in the presence of Rev Sr Juliet Lobo, the Provincial Superior, Sr Udaya Aranha, the Juniorate Directress, Sr Marylit, the Superior, Sr Alishai, the Novice Directress, all other Sisters and Sisters. 

On 30th November 2022, Postulant Surekha Kadamani and Sunitha Crasta were initiated into Novitiate with a solemn and meaningful initiation prayer service at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.

As a part of programme for the Centenary year, two days were set apart for the Sisters above the age of 60.  They had a day of outing at Chitrapur, Kulai Resort and a day’s Seminar by Rev Sr Severine Menezes, SAP on the topic “Health and Happiness”. 

In view of the centenary celebration, the proposed Charism retreat was conducted in Mangalore Province, in 2 batches, at Queen of Apostles Convent , Vamanjoor.

2nd July 2022,  a day of celebration and thanksgiving to God as we the Missionary Sisters of the Queen of the Apostles embark the inaugural ceremony  of the Centenary celebration of our Congregation. We hark back with gratitude for the ninety nine prosperous years of Missionary journey, journey filled with graces and blessings, with mircales and divine interventions.  

On 13th May 2022 along with Sr Rosa D'Souza the Community of Christa Jyothi Convent, Kolalgiri thanked God for all the wonders God has done in and through the life of Sr Rosa D'Souza.  It was a day to thank God and count His blessings.  

Sr Alicia Fernandes SRA celebrated her Golden Jubilee at Dharma Jyothi Convent, Madangeri on 11.05.2022.  It was the day to thank God for His faithfulness and countless blessings showered upon Sr Alicia Fernandes.  

On 1st April 2022 Sr Udaya Arnaha handed over her responsibility to Sr Alishai Manaji during the prayer service in the presence of Rev.Sr Berchmans Nedumpoika, the General Coordinator of Formation and Rev. Sr M. Juliet Lobo, the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province.  

A long awaited dream of the Province was realized on 25th Marcy 2022.  The Oratory and the Convent of Vivian Niwas, Siolim was blessed by Most Rev Bishop Filipe Neri Ferrao, the Arch Bishop of Goa and Daman and inaugurated by V. Rev. Sr Nanditha Pereira SRA, the Superior General of Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Queen of Apostles.

The Inauguration of the Deepalaya CBSE School was held on 19th March 2022.  It was a day of gratitude to God, joy and celebration to Mangalore Province.  

On 25th February 2022 our Candidates entered  the  Postulancy with a meaningful Eucharistic celebration presided by Rev. Fr Thomas O.P.  Rev Sr. Juliet Lobo, our Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province was present for this great event

Sr. Vijaya Baptista SRA bid farewell to the world on 8th February 2022 and her last rights were held at Bom Jesus Church Nachinola on 9th February 2022.

The Final Profession of our Sisters Sr M Priya Veronica D’Souza and Sr M Rency Sujatha D’Silva was held at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor on 8th December 2021 at 10.30 am. Sisters made a solemn entry to the Chapel in a procession with lighted lamps in their hands along with their parents. 

On 7th December 2021 Seven of our Novices  Asha Kachhap, Kishori Minj, Rani Mariyal of Mangalore Province,  Rosmy Tom of Southern Province and  Asmita Bandya, Golapi Mahanandia and Nancy Kulandswamy of Bombay Province pronounced their First Vows during the Eucharistic celebration at 10.30 a.m.

On 5th December 2021, 17 of our Junior Sisters renewed their vows during the Eucharistic Celebration at 7 am at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  Junior Sisters of our Province arrived at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor on 2nd December 2021.

The Initiation Ceremony was held at Queen of the Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor on 1st December 2021 at 6 p.m.  Two of our Postulants Sabita Burh and Sonia Cenja Norbert came forward with symbols of salt and light to offer their lives to the Lord and ask His grace for the days ahead of them.  

The Third batch of Seminar on “Effective Leadership and Governance for Mission” held on 27th and 28th November 2021.  Rev Fr Melwyn Sunny Pinto SJ was the resource person to guide the Sisters.  The session began with prayer invoking the Holy Spirit. 

The Silver Jubilee of Sr Joel Lasrado, Sr Natasha M D and Sr Rekha Varghese was celebrated at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor on 9th December 2021 at 10.30 AM.

The Seminar was organized for two days from 20th and 21st of November 2021 at Sacred Heart Convent, Manipur.  Rev. Fr Hector D’Souza SJ and Rev Fr Syriac SJ were the resource persons.  Four of the Sisters were present for the same.  Sr Leenet Monteiro, the Superior, welcomed the Resource Persons.

The II Batch of Seminar on Leadership and Governance was held on 13th and 14th of November 2021 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  The session began with a short prayer led by Sr Reema Crasta and Sr Doreen Pinto invoking God’s blessings.  Sr Juliet Lobo, the Provincial Superior introduced the resource person Rev Fr Melwyn Sunny Pinto SJ to the participants. 

A seminar on “Effective Leadership and Governance for Mission” was arranged for the Sisters on 19th and 20th of October 2021 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.

The Retreat of the Second Batch was held from 10th - 16th October 2021at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  It began with a Eucharistic Adoration at 8.00 pm on 10th October 2021 and ended with a Eucharistic Celebration at 12.30 pm on 16th October 2021.

The Superiors meeting was held on 18th October 2021 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  It began at 9.00 am with a prayer invoking the Holy Spirit upon all the Participants.

With gratitude to God and with great joy the Mangalore Province celebrated God’s fidelity for the Fifty years in the life of our dear Sr. Winifred D’Souza on 4th January 2021 at St Ignatius Convent, Honavar.  Rev Fr Maxim Rosario presided over the Eucharistic celebration and was concelebrated by ten other Priests.  

The Golden Jubilee of the Religious Profession of Sr Jane Joseph was celebrated on June 29, 2021, at Bom Jesus Home for the Aged Convent, Nachinola, Goa. It was a celebration of her deep relationship with God and her service to God’s people. It was a time to recall and relish her golden journey in the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Queen of Apostles.

Novices Feast Day celebrated at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor on 1st  October 2021 on the feast day of St Therese of Child Jesus, their Patroness Saint. 

Mangalore: The Fifth Provincial Chapter of the Mangalore Province was held from 29th August 2021 to 31st August 2021 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  It was a Historical event in the annals of the Province.  To begin this graceful occasion the participants of the Chapter entered into a day’s silence, prayer and recollection on 28th August 2021.   

Sr. Cynthia D’Souza, Sr. Rekha Babu, Sr. Sangeetha Rajappa, Sr. Sharli Antony, Sr. Shobhana Patil made their Final Profession on 8th December 2020 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.

1. A day of joy and celebration for Mangalore Province as our 6 Sisters Sr Mebal Rodrigues, Sr Renita Veigas, Sr Mareena D’Souza, Sr Juliyani Honhaga, Sr Phulmani Jamuda, Sr Nitu Minz stepped into a new way of life on 7th December 2020.

Rejoicing with Sr. Flora Gonsalves the 50 fruitful years of service in the Vineyard of the Lord.

Sr. Shirley Fernandes SRA celebrated 25 years of religious life on 6th December 2020 at Sebastian Church, Soraba.

Novice Babitha Barla, Novice Prathika Kujur of Varanasi Province, Novice Sarvina Mascaren and Novice Sharoline Pereira of Mangalore Province entered Novititate at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.

The New Dawn magazine of Mangalore Province for the year 2020. New Dawn magazine was initiated 27years before under the able leadership of Sr. Nanditha Pereira Superior General, the then Provincial Superior of Central Province. This magazine focuses on a theme where in the writers thoughts and views are published to approach a matter in a new prespective. 

Sr. Juliet Lobo SRA, Provincial Superior, Mangalore Province made her canonical vistiation from January 13th, 2020 to April 3rd, 2020. 

Covid 19 or Corona Virus is a word so common to be heard from the youngest to the oldest, from around the globe. A small virus turned to be a pandemic has laid millions of people to eternal rest. The General Chapter Animation Programme was organized for the sisters in different parts of the Province in groups.

There can be nothing more joyous for the sheep to be with its shepherd. We thank God Almighty for Sr. Nanditha Pereira Superior General who after being appointed again as the Superior General visited Mangalore Province to institute a new team of Administration, as a Leader of our congregation. Her presence indeed was blissful and commendable.

Inaguration of St. Anthony's Convent, Mysore on 31st July, 2018. It was a day of celebration for venturing into the new mission with a new enthused zeal at the service of Christ.

Every Chapter is a renewal and every renewal is a beginning.

The Chapter was officially called off on 26th February, 2018 with a call to Start life anew to carry on the mission of Christ to the Lost, Least and the Last.

A day of Joy and celebration in singing praises to God as the Golden bells rang in the lives of our dear Sr. Celestine and Sr. Leonilla on 12th January, 2018

"Here I am Lord. I have come to do your will". 5 sisters of our province with deep determination made their final committment in the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Queen of the Apostles.

The bells of our hearts were ringing in joy as our 8 novices pronounced their vows. It was a great dat to thank the Lord for their humble ' Yes'.

Renewal is a process of being renewed in the Spirit and in the light of the Lord. 26 Junior sisters willingly took a step further in their Yes to the will of God and renewed their vows on 3rd December, 2017.

With Joyful hearts 12 postulants entered the Novitiate on 25th November, 2017 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.

A gathering for senior sisters was conducted from 29-8-2017 to 1-9-2017.

Community Animators meet- First step towards the preparation of General Chapter 2018- 2nd August, 2017

July 1st a day to remember and recall the blessing of God Almighty for the fruitfull Journey of our Congregation in the service of the Lord as it was elevated as a Congregation 94 years before on this day.

Provincial Chapter, a time to gaze with eyes of Jesus, to think with the attitude of Jesus, to feel with the heart of Jesus and to embrace the world with the love of Jesus.

SRA : Missionary Disciples of compassion and joy at the service of the Gospel being the theme for the General Chapter, the Provincial Rev. Zeena D'Souza along with the her team and all the delegates of the Provincial Chapter entered the phase of deep spiritual preparation by spending two days in prayer and silence interiorizing Jesus who calls us to missionary disciples with comapassion and joy to serve him. Fr. Melwin Pinto SJ was the resouce person on 19th and 20th February, 2018

26 juniors of Mangalore Province renewed their vows on 4th December 2016 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor. Prior to the renewal, as a preparation the recollection talks and classes were organized under the leadership of Sr Lenita D'Souza, the Juniorate Directress.  The juniors had  recollection talk by Fr Dinoysius Vaz SJ and classes by Provincial Superior Sr Zeena D'Souza and Sr Udaya Aranha, the Novice Directress. During the Eucharistic celebration which is officiated by Fr Melwyn D'Cunha SJ the juniors renewed their vows in the presence of Provincial Superior Sr Zeena D'Souza. 

On 3rd November 2016 the new School building was inaugurated and blessed at Mansapur.

On 7th December 2016, Novice Ashwitha, Balbina, Maria Shanthi, Mariyalin, Pramila, Sunitha made their first commitment in the presence of Provincial Superior Sr Zeena D'Souza.  Srs. Kripa and Philomena from Mangalore Province and Sr Shanthi from Europe Province celebrated their Silver Jubilee at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  Most Rev. Bishop Lawrence Mukkuzhy, Bishop of Belthangady Diocese officiated the Holy Eucharist. 

On 8th December 2016, Srs. Jyoti, Magdeline, Precilla, Renita, Roshni, Supriya made their final commitment to the Lord in the presence of Provincial Superior Sr Zeena D'souza at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor. Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop of Mangalore solemnized the Holy Eucharist. On this occasion Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza was honoured and felicitated as he completed 75 years of his life. The professed sisters were felicitated.

On 26th November 2016, 11 postulants: Ancilla D'Souza, Laveena Crasta, Agnes D'Souza - Mangalore Province, Shradda Rani - Bombay Province, Madhuri Tete, Magrita Kiro, Sania Hemron - Ranchi Province, Ananstasia Tigga - Lucknow Province, Kiran Minj, Punam Lakra - Varanasi Province, Shalini L - Kerala Province entered the novitiate at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor. Sr Tejesie led  a beautiful prayer invoking God's blessings on the novices. The initation ceremony was held in the presence of Sr Zeena D'Souza the Province Animator. The community felicitated the novices.

On Thursday May 19, 2016 the new community, Divine Mercy Convent was set up at Agrar near Bantwal Mangalore. 

Juniorate is a time to rejuvenate oneself. It’s a time to learn and deepen the spiritual life of a sister. The annual juniorate course 2016 was enriching one to the juniors of Mangalore Province. The Juniorate course was held on  25th April - 25th May, 2016 at Queen of Apostles Convent,Vamanjoor under the leadership and guidance of Juniorate directress Sr. Lenita SRA.  Among 35Juniors 28 juniors participated in this programe and gained lot of input for their spiritual growth. 

24 junior sisters of Mangalore Province renewed their commitment on 29th November 2015 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor in the presence of Sr. Zeena D’Souza the province Animator during the Holy Eucharist.  Rev. Fr. V. Joseph CSSR was the main celebrant of the day. Prior to the renewal juniors had 2 days preparation and recollection conducted by Rev. Fr. Deep Rodrigues OCD.

Das and Seena T.S., Lucknow Province: Carmela Kerketta, Ranchi Province: Kiran Ekka and Roshni Tiru were initiated to the novitiate on 3rd December 2015 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor. Sr. Zeena the province Animator explained to the postulants the spirit of the congregation during the prayer service. The community members prayed and felicitated the new novices.

On 7th December 2015, 7 sisters – Sr. Annie Fernandes, Sr. Anrita D’Souza, Sr. Gretta Rosario, Sr. Irma Konkya, Sr. Juliet Lobo, Sr. Perpetua D’Souza, Sr. Stephina Gonsalves thanked the Lord for their committed 25 years of their service in the congregation

The Queen of Apostles Convent was filled with cheers, smiles and laughter because of the youthful hearts of SRA congregation. The Juniorate programme was held on 2nd May 2015 at Queen of Apostles Convent Vamanjoor with the combined inner healing retreat. 34 junior sisters from Mangalore and Southern province began the programme with a short orientation by Sr.Udaya, juniorate directress of Mangalore.

Theme: Deepening our Consecrated Life and Vocation

The 3rd Province Chapter of Mangalore Province was held from 16th -19th April 2015 at Queen of Apostles Convent Vamanjoor

The Canonical Visitation of Mangalore Province commenced with the arrival of Sr Nanditha, Superior General on 27th February, 2015 at Queen of Apostles Convent, Vamanjoor.  The sister  representatives  of  different mission  of the dioceses of Mangalore Province, lay collaborators, Vamanjoor campus members along with sisters and novices of Vamanjoor  accorded  solemn welcome to Sr Nanditha

On the occasion of the Centenary celebration of the Death of Fr Bodewig, the Queen of Apostles Community at Vamanjoor had meaningful and heart worming Prayer Service on the eve, at 6.30pm, on January 7, 2015. During the prayer, the establishment of the mission of our Congregation in different countries of the world was presented in the symbol of Poorna Kumba, and special prayer offered for the congregation and for the communities of our province. 

The installation of the new team was carried out in the presence of Sr. Nanditha Pereira, Superior General during the prayer service followed by the Eucharistic celebration by Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto the Parish priest of St. Joseph the worker church, Vamanjoor.

On December 8, 2014 Sr Reena & Sr Saritha committed themselves to the Lord perpetually and Sr Susai celebrated the 25 years of religious life in the presence of their parents, family member and our sisters. The Solemn Eucharist was officiated by Rt Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the Bishop of Mangalore along with other priests concelebrating at the Eucharist. The mass was followed by short felicitation programme and fellowship meal.

Our junior sisters renewed their vows on December 3, 2014 preceding two days silence and recollection conducted by Fr Frank Ocd and Sr Udaya. We assure our prayerful support and wish them God’s blessings.

Our Postulants Ashwitha Menezes, Balbina Sajan, Marialin Lopes, Pramila Rodrigues, Shanti D’Souza and Sunitha D’Souza entered the Novitiate on November 29, 2014 on the eve of the Advent season and beginning of the year of consecrated life. We wish them God’s blessing and a vigilant preparation for the life of consecration.

The triple celebrations -  the inauguration and blessing of the new convent building, Golden Jubilee of the Goretti  mission  and Centennial Death memory  of Fr Bodewig was held at Goretti Convent Kallianpur on Thursday October 30, 2014. 

Inaugurated by Mr Leslie Fernandes and Rt Rev Dr Derek Fernandes, the Bishop of Karwar Diocese.

3rd May 2013: Funeral of Rev Sr Aquilina Shwoediauer at Vamanjoor.Funeral mass was officiated by Rt. Rev. Dr Robert Miranda the Bishop of Gulbarga, funeral cortege was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, the Bishop of Mangalore.
