Healing ministry is one of the oldest ministries of the province. Though it seemed hard to go along in the midst of rapid growth and competition, the alternative option for humanitarian services, give meaning and fulfillment in this ministry.
Hence the medical care began in Goretti Hospital in three small rooms is now grown into a full-fledged hospital and climaxed with a prestigious educational institute for Nursing at Honavar. The Palliative care centre is an added feather to our expansion in health ministry.
The two hospitals cater to the professional and advanced medical care, while the health centers and dispensaries provide medical assistance to the remote villages. The Medical trust functions to co-ordinate the activities of healing ministry.

Cynthia Fernades Memorial Palliative Care Centre
Cynthia Fernandes Memorial Palliative Centre was blessed and inaugurated on January 5, 2006. This centre offers care that helps terminally ill cancer patients to reduce their pain and suffering and to accept the inevitable death with peace.
The collaboration with Mr. Leslie Fernandes, in memory of his wife Cynthia Fernandes, who died of cancer, coupled with the dream of Sr. Maria Goretti to care for the suffering humanity. This beautiful venture emerged.
